Targeted OSHA Refresher Training

This course was designed as a focused hazard review for employees who had already completed OSHA training but required reinforcement on high-risk workplace safety topics.

Rather than requiring learners to retake the full OSHA certification, this module provides a streamlined refresher on slips, trips, and falls — one of the most common workplace injury categories.

The goal was to reinforce awareness, reduce incident risk, and support ongoing safety compliance through targeted microlearning.

The Challenge

Employees had already completed comprehensive OSHA training; however:

  • The full OSHA course was lengthy and time-intensive

  • Refresher needs centered specifically on recurring slip, trip, and fall hazards

  • Requiring full retraining would reduce efficiency and increase training fatigue

  • The organization needed a solution that reinforced safety without duplicating content

The challenge was to distill essential OSHA-aligned hazard information into a concise, engaging review module that strengthened retention without redundancy.

The Solution

I designed a focused hazard review course that:

  • Reinforces common slip, trip, and fall risks in the workplace

  • Highlights prevention strategies and safe work practices

  • Uses scenario-based interactions to encourage hazard recognition

  • Incorporates knowledge checks to confirm understanding

The course prioritizes clarity and practicality, helping learners quickly identify risk factors and appropriate responses.

By narrowing the scope to a high-frequency hazard category, the training increases efficiency while maintaining safety standards.
